At first burn, allow candle to melt to the edge of the vessel, this prevents future tunneling.
Trim the wick to 1/4" tall before every burn to keep the wax clean and burning nicely. Never leave a burning candle unattended.
Avoid excessive burn time, no more than 4 hours is recommended.
Burn on a stable, heat-resistant surface away from flammable objects. Keep out of reach of pets and children.

Feed your soap plenty of fresh air between uses. The drier it gets the longer it will last.
Store your soap on a well drained soap dish at all times to prevent soft soap.
Use a cotton wash cloth or loofah to extend soap life rather than rubbing the bar all over yourself.
